Now Gem Wallet tells you right away when a transaction fails: a swap, a transfer, staking, or a smart contract call. Our users have been getting push notifications marked “❌ Failed” since September 30, 2026 - there is nothing to turn on.
What Are Failed Transaction Notifications in Gem Wallet
A failed transaction notification is a Gem Wallet push notification that arrives when the network rejects your transaction: it ended with an error (Failed) or a smart contract rolled it back (Reverted). The notification names the action with the same word as a successful one: “❌ Transfer: Failed”, “❌ Swap: Failed”, “❌ Smart Contract: Failed”.
A transaction can fail if the price moves during a swap or if your balance doesn’t cover the network fee. Gem Wallet takes the status from the network itself, not from the app’s guess.
For example, you swap USDT for BTC, and the network reverts the swap. Gem Wallet sends “❌ Swap: Failed” right away - you know the result and simply try the swap again. We want you to always know exactly what is happening with your assets.
Which Transactions Failed Transaction Notifications Cover
- Transfers: Sending coins, tokens, and NFTs - the notification shows the recipient’s address.
- Swaps: Onchain and cross-chain swaps for any pair.
- Token Approval: Permission for a smart contract to use your token.
- Staking: Stake, unstake, redelegate, claim rewards, and withdraw.
- TRX Freeze: Freezing and unfreezing TRX on the TRON network.
- Smart Contract Calls: Actions in DApps connected to the wallet.
Benefits for Gem Wallet Users
Gem Wallet is a mobile self-custody wallet with 100% open-source code for iOS and Android. Here are its main benefits:
- Full Self-Custody: Your private keys are stored only on your device - you sign transactions, and no intermediary touches your assets.
- Fully Open-Source Code: Gem Wallet’s code is open on GitHub (CertiK audit, April 2026).
- Privacy by Default: No sign-up needed - no email, phone number, or ID, and Gem Wallet collects no personal data.
- Only What Concerns You: Only the sender gets the failure notification - if an incoming transfer fails, you get no extra push, because nothing reached you.
- Swaps via Top DEX Providers: Swap tokens via Relay, Uniswap, THORChain, and other DEX providers - for example, ETH for BNB; if a swap fails, Gem Wallet lets you know right away.
- Staking Under Control: Stake TRX, SOL, BNB, ETH, HYPE, and other coins - if staking, unstaking, or claiming rewards fails, you are the first to know.
- Simple and Clear Interface: Gem Wallet is easy to use from the first launch for both beginners and experienced users - every feature is in view, with no cluttered menus.
