## What Is Hyperliquid?

Hyperliquid is a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain built from the
ground up for on-chain trading. Its custom consensus algorithm,
HyperBFT, delivers block latency under 1 second and processes up to
100,000 orders per second - making it the fastest on-chain order book
in crypto. The flagship application is the Hyperliquid DEX: a fully
