Fees are estimates based on recent network conditions and typical transaction sizes. Swap estimates include the network fee only, not swap provider fees. Gem Wallet shows the exact network fee before you confirm a transaction.

The cards at the top of this page show the latest opBNB fee estimates from Gem Wallet at Normal and, where the network supports it, Fast priority. Each card shows the fee rate and the USD cost of a standard transfer.
Network fees depend on demand for block space. When many transactions compete to be included in the next block, the fee needed for timely confirmation rises, and when activity is low, fees fall. Some networks use a fixed or minimum fee that rarely changes.
Normal is the recommended fee for confirmation under typical conditions. Fast adds a higher priority fee, so your transaction is more likely to be included sooner when the network is busy. Networks with fixed fees offer only one option.
Token transfers and swaps execute smart contract code, which uses more computation or data than a simple coin transfer. At the same fee rate, more resources mean a higher total fee.
Send when the network is less busy, choose the Normal fee when speed is not critical, and combine several payments into fewer transactions where possible. Gem Wallet shows the exact fee before you confirm, so you can decide whether to send now or wait.
The sender pays the fee, and receiving opBNB costs nothing. Network fees go to the opBNB network itself. Depending on the protocol, they reward the validators, miners, or sequencers that process transactions, or they are burned. They are not paid to Gem Wallet.
